Before purchasing this book I read the reviews of other customers and thought I'd order it myself anyway to see what I thought about it. I previously owned the Taste of Homes Baking book, which I thought was pretty decent. The condition of this book was great, however, I must agree with some of the other reviewers regarding the quality of the recipies.

I just bought a slow cooker and was hoping that this would give me ideas as to what to make in it, but the majority of the book was dedicated to casseroles. Most of the slow cooker recipies were not anything I'd want to eat or feed anyone else. There was also a tremendous lack of recipies for the slow cooker section, many of which were desserts(really?)! The majority of recipies looked like the same slop. Although there are over 500 recipes, most are REPEATS of chilis and bean soups, I kid you not. Thankfully, this recipe book is pretty cheap.

I would not recommend this cookbook to anyone from the novice cook to an aspiring cook. Also, I am not a health fanatic, but when possible I do try to eat somewhat healthy and try to eat "whole" meals of meats and vegetables, instead of trying to compensate filling with pasta. A large portion of this book uses pasta as a main dish. I was hoping to see a variation since there are so many things you can do with vegetables and meats alone in casseroles, slow cookers and soups. After making 10 recipies from this cookbook, you might consider it the equivalent of having made them all since they vary minimally.

Additionly, some of the meals which claim to be international in this book are not. Just because you slap the word "Moroccon or Mexican" in the title does not make it so, similiar to claiming that Taco Bell is a place to eat if you crave spanish food.

There's a little something for every family member in the cookbook. My only complaint is some of the "Crock Pot" recipes really aren't for the Crock Pot. You only heat the finished product in the Crock Pot for a short time. Otherwise, a great cookbook!

These recipes are really pretty good and some new ones,too, that make this book handy to have all of them in one place. We are looking forward to trying more of them this summer and into the fall months.
Recommend it for new comers to Slow Cooking and those with too much to do and not enough time to cook when getting home from work. It's all ready when you get there!

This book is very unique. Lots of recipes that my picky husband will eat. He will not eat onion so I can adapt or leave that out and still have a great meal. The only thing I really would like to see added is the nutrition of the recipes. He is diabetic and that would really help.

THIS COOKBOOK IS ONE OF THE BEST EVER. MOST COOKBOOKS HAVE A FEW GOOD RECIPES, BUT THIS TASTE OF HOME COOKBOOK IS FULL OF GREAT RECIPES YOU CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE. I ENJOYED IT SO WELL I BOUGHT ONE FOR MY MOM WHO ENJOYS USING RECIPES FOR HER CROCKPOT.

I tell you what my family thinks they have died and gone to the best cooking heaven there is. I have turned into quite the cook since purchasing this book. The pictures help so much and the recipes are so simple and easy to follow. Also if I add a little somethin here or there I just keep notes for next time. I loved it so much I had to get one for my friend too!!! I would reccomend this cookbook for anyone from beginner to pro cook!!! It's a kitchen must have!!!!
