This "All NEW Edition" is a new collection , but they do not seem to be too much different than many previously published recipes. There are `best loved classics and a section with 150/30 minute healthy recipes. Most of the recipes seem to be familiar or slightly reworked versions. It is much like the other ring bound books of Taste of Home, which is not bad, as long as you are not expecting completely different.
There are keys for the recipes, such as grill, light, serves 2. There are several recipes per page, very easy to read, and some have pictures. Some hints are given like the different grades of canned tuna. Prep time, serving size, nutritional information is given. There are two clear plastic page protectors which can be used in front of the page you are using so that there are no food stains.
Diagrams are included for some techniques, such as cracking and cleaning, clams, oysters, lobsters, braiding filled bread, creating a lattice pie crust.

Included are:30 minute entrees, kitchen basics, appetizers and beverages, beef and veal, soups, sandwiches, pork, lamb, poultry, seafood, eggs and cheese, pasta and sauces, grains and beans, vegetables, fruit, salads and salad dressing, condiments, quick breads, yeast breads, pies and tarts, cakes, desserts, cookies and bars, candies.

The notebook rings very quickly started catching the pages as I turned them, so it is easy to tear if you are trying to leaf through quickly.
It is a good book for beginners or those who would like a lot of very useful good recipes for everyday cooking or even those dedicated fans of Taste of Home.

A friend at work had brought in some really good recipes over the last year. I finally asked where she got them and she told me Taste of Home. I purchased the Taste of Home Cookbook and I have been wonderfully satisfied. I love how clear and the recipes are and almost all of them have pictures. I also like that it has the nutritional value on the recipes. I would highly recommend this cookbook, you will not be disappointed!

Love this book! It has a recipe for almost anything you could want to make and they are GOOD! I've made probably 20 different recipes in here so far and was thrilled with every one of them. I love how it's broken up into sections so things are easy to find, i.e 30 minutes meals, light meals, beef, pork, chicken. So you can easily look up recipes. My favorite thing is the splash guards that protect your pages from splashes, smudges, or in my kitchen, flying ingredients like flour and sugar ;-)
This would make a perfect gift for newlyweds or anyone setting up house on their own for the first time because it has lists in the front of the book for items in a well stocked kitchen, they give loads of instruction on basics like how to cut different meat, how long different meats should be cooked and so on. Really a great all around book. I don't think anyone could be dissapointed in this!

Great cookbook for fast and easy recipes. Good for a beginning or busy cook. Good basic ideas even for more experienced cooks. Love the loose leaf format!! Most of the recipes are not "wow" recipes, but are good basic cooking. Lots of variety.

I have a decent amount of cookbooks. And I've purchased the Taste of Home Special magazines in the past and I've loved them. So I thought this cookbook would trump those. It doesn't. It feels like I'm paying for the nice binder and the recipes were extra!

There are many other cookbooks that give you the basics, plus more. My Better Homes and Betty Crocker will still be my go to's......
