I have always enjoyed recipes from Taste of Home, because I know they have been tested and are delicious. I am never disappointed with anything. The varieties of soups and other things in this book are amazing. I cooked a chili recipe last night, a chicken soup recipe the night before, and I'm looking forward to cooking many more during this cold Wisconsin winter.

I own many Taste of Home cookbooks, all good and this is no exception - good stuff in this book. And, although probably childish, cookbooks with great pictures are the best.

3.0 out of 5 stars Should've sacrified a little on quantity September 12, 2012

This book contains entirely too many recipes that are virtually the same. Okay so recipe two doesn't have corn in it, or recipe three is with elbow macaroni and not spiral pasta....really, do we need a dozen vegetable bean soup recipes? You have to wade through an awful lot of mundane soups to get to the few that are really different.

So, only three stars for this one.
