Incredible singer!, September 10, 2011

I used to have all of Lenny Welch's LP vinyl albums. He has such an incredible voice. He sounds different with every song he sings. He is romantic, hurt and even desperate in his renditions, such as in the song "Darlin'". I wish he was still recording music. He is one of those singers like Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke and Brook Benton: they have incredible singing voices...I never could understand why people could listen to groups like the Rolling Stones--which as far as I'm concerned, can't sing at all--and not appreciate those who could really belt out a song with emotions.
I love this CD. It has all his most recognized songs and that sultry voice...!
