Salsa is a hot Latin dance attracting dancers worldwide. This intermediate, bilingual (English and Spanish) video builds on the introductory moves from Volume I and teaches an 8-turn combination, the wrap, the walk, and styling tips. The husband-and- wife instructors teach the steps well and convey the flair of the dance. Each time you learn a few moves, you practice the combinations to music. In one segment, they demonstrate how to add your own style. They include plenty of technique tips for leading and following effectively. All instructions and explanations are presented in both English and Spanish, which slows down the video somewhat. It's not a problem when you're busy practicing the moves as you listen, but it gets slow when they're standing still explaining something in two languages. My expectations were dashed when I watched this video. The couple spends an eternity describing simple moves in English AND Spanish. It wastes precious time going over the same moves repeatedly. I would recommend Josie Neglia's videos; they have a bigger bang for the buck.

Lisa and Andres make Salsa very easy to follow and to understand. Great videos for those who have been frustrated or intimidated by dancing in the past. Fun turn combinations to start shinning in the dance floor. It ends up being a lot of fun.

Along with Volume 1, I found A Taste of Salsa-Volume II a waste of my time and money. I purchased both of these videos together based on the praises in another persons review. I have learned my lesson! I'm assuming these 2 "instructors" rated the videos themselves. I found them far from impressive. For the price you pay you learn very few moves. They spend more time on long, drawn out explanations than anything else. I would not recommend buying this video. If you must, my copies are for sale 2nd hand!
