5.0 out of 5 stars 2nd best country album of alltime, February 16, 2000

I think the best country album I've ever heard is Waylon Jennings' "Honkytonk Heroes". This album is close second. Every song is fantastic. If you do not like true blue country music, you won't like this one. If you do, you will love it. This is an album that Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, et al simply do not have the skill to make. This is country music by probably the best country singer (Jones) and country writer (Haggard) of all time.

Merle is my all-time favorite country artist, and George ain't far behind. That said,I knew that I would enjoy this cd;just not as much as I do.It's a real gem,and essential for any c&w library. Two old friends having a great time singing some great songs. What more could you want?"Must've Been Drunk" and "C.C.Waterback"are two of the funnest songs ever.A definite must have.
