4.0 out of 5 stars It sure sounds like sugar!, July 14, 2000

Great stuff! The genius of Les Farrington is in the writing and the arranging of all of Sugarbomb's music. Their poppy sound and the simple yet imaginative arrangement of the songs make for a great CD to listen to all day.

They also bring back some harmonious double lead guitars into the current music scene (yes, they are much more than a 3 chord band). The exploitation of the vocals is another great accomplishment for this band.

I can't wait to get an earful of their yet to be released album. I cannot wait for the release of "Saucer Man." By the way, their shows are great as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars pure genius, May 21, 2000
This review is from: Tastes Like Sugar (Audio CD)
Las Farrington, lead singer and primary writer of most of the songs for Sugarbomb, is brilliant. Each one of his songs ia a masterpiece. The phrase 'they can't all be gems' proves untrue in this case. I could never get tired of listening to a song by Les. I look forward with anticipation to each new Farrington creation. RCA is scheduled to release their new recording in January of 2001. The world is in for a treat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Tunes, Licks and Harmony - Creative, Poetic & Stylish, August 22, 2001

You can tell that true musicians are behind the catchy hooks, inviting melodies, poetic lyrics, strong vocals & harmonies, stylish guitar play, and groovin rhythms. I like music that's real, creative, grooves, and moves me (not that "corporate" bs). SugarBomb delivers! Listening to these guys is like being on a smooth roller coaster...loving the ride and eagerly anticipating the next twist, turn, or loop. Even their slower tunes have a captivating grove and melody that keep you moving. You are guarantee to be singing to yourself, bobbing your head, and playing air guitar to any number of the songs on Tastes Like Sugar. I am most frequently caught singing/humming: Over, Million To One, What A Drag & Motor Mouth. My steering wheel is always a player when listening in my car. Much to the amusement of other drivers, I can't listen without drumming along and mimicking Greg & Daniel's stylish guitar licks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sugarbomb-Tastes Like Sugar, January 27, 2000
This review is from: Tastes Like Sugar (Audio CD)
The album overall was good. I think its strong points are the songs written and performed by lead guitarist and backup vocalist Daniel. The songs he has written have a great sound. The best track on the album is "Over". One written by Daniel, of course. These guys will be heading to LA to begin recording for RCA. They're busy writing new stuff for them, and what I have heard sounds great. Sorry, they have a very distinct sound, so it is hard to compare them to anyone in particular. But if I had to, I would say they sound similar to Marvelous 3, a band I think is better than everyone gives them credit for.
