5.0 out of 5 stars Helps with the itchies
I've tried a couple different things to help with the healing itchies, and this is really nice. Nongreasy, goes on smooth, and smells great. Keep your tat moisturized and looking nice. This one is a nice size to carry with you. This is also great for kids' bumps and bruises and scratches. I carry a tin with me even though my tat is healed just for the kids. My sons...

2.0 out of 5 stars Gave me a rash
I put this on the outline of my sleeve and got an itchy rash all over my arm, even where I didn't have tattoo. I guess maybe I was allergic. 2 Stars not one since not everyone will be allergic.

I've used this product for pretty much all of my tattoos, and I have quite a few. It is amazing! It's not all thick and sticky like some other tattoo healing products out there. if you use it correctly, it goes on smooth and you really can't tell it's there. I use it 2x daily for the first 3 days after my tattoo, and I couldn't ask for anything beter!

5.0 out of 5 stars This stuff really works,.., July 29, 2007
This review is from: Tattoo Goo - The Original Aftercare Salve - 3/4 Ounce Tin (Health and Beauty)
I didn't buy this specific size, I got the 1.5 oz tin but it works great. I currently have 3 tattoos that I have been using this product on (1 is 4"x2", the second is 3"x3" and the 3rd is a rather large chest piece) and 7 days later, I still have more than half the tin left. And yes, I do apply tattoo goo 4X a day. The thing is that you only apply a light layer on your skin. Anything more than that will impeade the healing process. I also got the total kit which also helps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, May 12, 2007
This review is from: Tattoo Goo - The Original Aftercare Salve - 3/4 Ounce Tin (Health and Beauty)
Tattoo goo healed my tattoo faster than other salves or ointments I put on my tattoo previously. Even though it only has to be used for 7 to 10 days, you can still dab a litle on your tat anytime you want the colors to look more vibrant and bold. I do it when I go swimming to show it off a little more! Plus, it's salve so it doesn't wash off in the water.

I picked this stuff up after trying a variety of different things while my tattoos were healing.

This help my tattoos heal quicker, itch less, and, perhaps, even retain their color a little better.

Since then, I've taken to using this stuff for everything. It's great for sunburns, burns, small cuts and scrapes, and even dry skin in general. I use it in place of Neosporin, and in place of lotion.

These small tins make it easy to keep with you. I keep one in my car, and one at home.

The smell is great, too!

We got this for my wife's third tattoo after trying the standard bacitracin, A&D, and bag balm on her previous tattoos. She loved this salve. It goes on thinner but stays in place to help with the healing process. No complications with irritation. A++

4.0 out of 5 stars Pricely but I like it!, September 25, 2011

I would have given this 5 stars but the price Im still iffy on..yes you do get a small amount of it but you don't have to use much of it when you apply it. Its like chapstick, you'll lose it before you ever get around to using it all.

I just got half of my 4th tattoo finish, I still have 4 more hours of work to do on it. On my past tattoos I have used different products for healing to find the right one and so far I really like this one.

I must say though, I did not starting using this until the 4 day of the healing process. I was using gold bond ultimate healing. My skin usually gets dry fast and chaps from wind so I had this on hands for other uses but once I read the ingredients I found it had petrolatum as its main ingredient and Ive heard it tends to suck the color out of a healing tattoo. Im not really sure if this is true but I didnt want to find out.

So after searching the internet and reading every review, I decided to try a small tin of Tattoo Goo and I really like it. I read some people had really bad itching from it and usually thats from a reaction of the skin and has nothing to do with the product its self. Not every skin type will be able to use it.

I like that its ingredidents are very simple things with nothing abarsive. Though, you could probably find something of the same stuff in a health food store for a better price. I also think the kits with the soap it just a waste of money. Simple orange dial soap is perfect for healing tattoos.

I would recommend this to my friends and it has really brought out the color in my other tattoos.

I've gone through 4 tins of TG while having several tattoos done and just ordered 4 more tins. Keeps the tattoos moist, helps the skin heal, and reduces irritation. I find that shirts rubbing against the new tattoo bother me a lot less, if I apply TG regularly. After the tattoo has healed I move on to the H2Ocean lotion, which is great, but not as good on a new tattoo, at least for me. TG is good stuff and definitely worth the money.

I used this product on my first tattoo, and I absolutely love it. I did extensive research about products to use on a healing tattoo, and I found out about this product, so I tried it and I love it!!! I will never use another product on my tattoos. I think is smells great! It smells like mint, menthol, and lavender!! Its easy to use, and Ive had my tattoo for about a month and 2 weeks, and I use it often and it looks brand new! I gave half to a friend because she got her tattoo done with me, and she said her tattoo turned out great and that she loved this product also!
