I had this on vinyl and after years of wearing that out, I had to upgrade and buy the CD! This will continue to be my favorite, but Rory had sooooo many great songs, it's hard to isolate one CD! But, if you are a novice to RG, go for this one and then try Calling Card! ROCK ON! 2020!

Rory was a musician's musician. I had the pleasure of seeing Rory back in the 70's and I'm sorry I did not

see him again. He left us way too early, as a lot of the good ones do. With Rory it was all about the music.

He didn't need fancy light shows, explosions, synchronized dancers and fancy stage clothes. He trotted out

with his well worn Strat and played his butt off. My kind of musician. Rory has an extensive catalog but you

can't go wrong with this one. R.I.P. Rory

This is without a doubt ... my favorite CD by Rory Gallagher. Every song is a true winner. Lots of good songwriting and great vocals combined with solid guitar work. I saw the Rory Gallagher Band in San Francisco @ Winterland in the summer of 1975 ... and they were great !! During the show, they played several songs from the CD Tattoo ... what a treat. Rory was so damn hot in concert ... the crowd just loved him.

There's a story that in 1969 Jimi Hendrix called Rory Gallagher the world's second best guitarist - Hendrix rated himself the best - after Hendrix and Gallagher appeared at the Isle of Wight Pop Festival. (Gallagher played the Isle of Wight as front man for the band Taste)

I've never been able to confirm that story but Rory Gallagher's talent was such that it could be true.

Gallagher's live albums are the best material he released but his studio albums are all worth a listen. I've always considered Tattoo to be my favorite of Gallagher's studio albums.

For anyone who likes first class blues guitar, Rory Gallagher is one of those less well known players you should check out.

The whole album is great i love a million miles away and tatoo and i love the bonus tracks dont pass this album up i wish i could find the album deuce i want to hear it so bad i wish i could find the album brand new for a decent price

My first Rory Gallagher album. Bought it cause I got sick of looking at the cover out of the window as I passed by everyday from school. The lady in the record store played a track for me...and it sounded great. So I took it home and I now consider this one of those albums that should be in every rock and blues lover's collection. Rory Gallagher was a maverick and his guitar playing exudes that quality. Brilliant.

Not his best work but never the less great cd. This stuff is for musicians or people who truley appriciate talent - not the Lady Gaga etc. fans.
