IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

1.    Jamming: A few potential causes for this issue:
a.    The most likely cause is the user not pulling the slide all the way back.We encourage the end user to grab the slide at the front of the slide and pull back. It’s a solidly built item, so grabbing the slide at the back end of it and attempting to fully engage the slide is challenging at best.
b.    If this pistol is fired with the safety on it will sometimes jam the pistol once the safety is taken off. This is not a defect as much as it is user error.
c.    If the user is using a bb that is too heavy (recommend a .12g with this item) it will increase the likelihood of a jam occurring.
2.    Mag falling out: As mentioned before, I tested several pistols and never experienced the mag falling out. The user may be hitting the mag release button unintentionally and/or, very unlikely, but possible, putting the mag in backwards.

I first bought the version of this pistol that comes in the plastic clamshell with two mags at a local store. The slide on that version of the pistol did not lock back automatically when the mag was empty. I bought another clamshell version from Amazon and the same was true. After researching this, it became clear that the version that comes boxed, with one magazine (the one this review is being written about) does feature the auto locking slide. As far as I can tell, after having bought a total of two clamshell and three boxed versions, the slide lock is the only difference between the pistols themselves. Both are actually manufactured by KWC. The boxed version includes one mag and the clamshell version includes two mags. Be advised that it's possible to lock the slide back on either version of the pistol, but on the clamshell version one has to manually engage the slide lock lever while pulling the slide back, which can be tricky. On the boxed version the slide lock will automatically engage with an empty mag in the pistol. It's my belief that the auto locking slide version is better. Slide locks back when mag is empty - eject empty mag - insert full mag - release slide lock - fire. It definitely feels more realistic.

As far as performance, appearance, and overall satisfaction with the pistol are concerned, in my opinion this is one of the best pistols on the market, and almost certainly the best available at the $30 to $40 price point. Yes...it's a spring pistol. Yes...it's mostly plastic. However, it's powerful for a spring pistol and extremely durable and good looking for a plastic pistol. The grip is the most comfortable I've used. Extra mags are available from a variety of sources- and the mags hold 24 rounds each.

After years of playing paintball and shooting real pistols, my teenage son was the one who recently influenced me to migrate to Airsoft. I enjoy tactical games and wanted my first Airsoft pistol to be a good one. This did not disappoint. In a nutshell:

PROS
* Very substantial for a spring-powered Airsoft pistol.
* Does not feel cheap, performs like a more expensive model.
* Good construction, authentic looks with features found on the real deal.
* Weighty clip provides better balance and adds to the real feel of the gun.
* Accurate, higher powered pistol for a spring Airsoft gun.
* Shoots .12g and .20g ammo with near-equal accuracy.
* Clip holds 26 rounds, more than a lot of other pistols.
* Locking slide (not automatic) when clip is empty.
* It simply is a fun sidearm to have in your Airsoft arsenal.

CONS
* It may be a bit on the pricey side at $40, when there are other pistols $10-15 less. (There is free shipping if you are a Prime member.)
* A minor thing, but the locking slide is not automatic. When you empty the clip and go to cock the slide back, it will lock open, exposing the chamber. (Again, a minor thing.)
* Some may find the slide a little tough to pull back.

The first thing you will notice when you open the box is it looks like the real deal, complete with trademark logo, stamped serial number and safety and release buttons. The next thing you discover is the actual heft of the gun, and more surprisingly, the mag--which places most of the weight in the grip when loaded. This provides a real nice balance for the pistol.

People have commented on the amount of plastic on Airsoft guns.

I got this gun just the other day off amazon and wow. It has realistic weight and size to start off with, and a mag capacity of 24+1! the ergonmic grip fits any hand and feels nice after hours of shooting! i can hit a 5inchx5inch square from 30ft away 99% of the time. Just make sure you ONLY use .2 bb's. .12 will get jammed. Also get a speed loader the mag has no spring lock so you must do it by hand and 25 bb's is alot haha. great accuracy power and feel!

I have tried quite a few spring pistols and this is my favorite. It has quite a nice heft to it and is a nice size. It is by far the most accurate spring pistol I have used although it doesn't have the range I would like. I can hit a man-sized target at about 70 feet about 3/4 of the time and with a 24 round magazine you have more opportunities to get a hit. I love this gun and use it as a sidearm in games but I have 2 fairly minor complaints. First of all and probably the biggest is when it says a locking slide I expected the slide to lock automatically, telling you when you are out of bbs but this gun does not lock back automatically. There is a lock button but it is manual. I also have the Crossman P9 and the slide does lock back automatically. I have not used the real version of this weapon so I don't know if that it authentic or not. My other minor complaint is that the slide sometimes sticks when you cock it and needs to be pushed up. Overall this gun is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who plays airsoft with some degree of seriousness or even just to play around with.
