From Library Journal
The graying of the "toons" continues. Last year Bugs Bunny celebrated his 50th birthday, and now Sylvester the Cat and Tweety, his tiny but formidable bird adversary, have also reached the half-century milestone. Taking its title from Tweety's most famous line, this book is a richly illustrated biography of the pair that traces the creation and evolution of Sylvester, Tweety, and their cohorts, including Granny, Sylvester Jr., Speedy Gonzales, Spike, and Hippety Hopper, the kangaroo baby that Sylvester often mistakes for a giant mouse. As with all books of this genre, the illustrations tell the story. Included is a complete filmography of all Sylvester and Tweety cartoons released between 1942 and 1965. Generally recommended for public library and subject collections.
