4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely Emma Sjoberg is the true star of this flick, April 24, 2008
Funny and interesting French flick. While the film has it's humorous moments the best character is the female detective played by the beautiful Emma Sjoberg. She teaches her male counterpart a thing or two about martial arts while he's ogling over her beauty. However the best scene is at the end of the movie. As the girls are set free from their kidnappers by the gunslinging captain and begin to try walk away with the others out of the room they are met head on by a line of bad guy ninjas. Even though heavily outnumbered and having the advantage of using the captains pistol, the girls instead opt to dispatch the bad guys themselves in their own way. Dressed in short skirts, the girls calmly remove their high heels and unleash their deadly martial arts skills kicking and throwing the bad guys around the room knocking every one of them out cold. Emma Sjoberg in particular is proficient in karate and wonderful to watch in action.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun!, December 30, 2009
I've always love Luc Besson's movies - and all of the Taxi serias are funny! Car racing is very cute too, even though I am not into it. Better to watch in original language and read subtitles, so you can actually have a real "taste" of his movies.

5.0 out of 5 stars More French fun - this time with ninjas!, May 31, 2008
"Taxi 2" reunites Daniel, driver of the super-charged taxi, with French policeman, Emilien, (and just about every other character from the original film) and this time pits them against a band of ninjas intent on kidnapping the Japanese defense secretary. If you've seen the first "Taxi" film then you know what to expect and you won't be disappointed. If not, think along the same lines as "The Transporter" (which is also written by Luc Besson, writer of the "Taxi" series), only funnier, or the remake of "The Italian Job". "Taxi 2" is lighter on character development than its predecessor, but the whole reason for watching a "Taxi" film is for the comedic action sequences, and the action sequences in "Taxi 2" are just as cool as those in "Taxi". And the best thing about this film is knowing that there are two more sequels after it.
