The book is very basic. It would be almost impossible to create a quality mount using this book. Also, the book was first published in 1967 and the methods are outdated. Today, almost all mounts are done using preformed polyurethane foam manikins.

It is not outdated. just go ahead and youse a manikin with legs instead of wires. I recommend this to ANY! one who wants to start taxidermy.
