If you're like me, and are looking for a thermometer that is easy to read through the glass window, then this one's for you. It has a really large face and the numbers are also large. I started baking artisan bread, and it was important to know if my oven temperature is correct, so I bought this one to replace a smaller one that I've had for years and years. I first used it with the old one still in the oven, and they were both dead on each other. So I guess it was unneccessary for me to purchase another thermometer after all, but I like the large size of the dial better anyway.

as with all older ovens mine didn't have accurate temperatures, this affected the quality of my baked goods, this thermometer has given me the results I need

As I've been getting into baking bread this thermometer has shown me that I need to set my oven on 475 F if I want to acheive 450 F on the top rack. It also helps show where the cold spots are in my oven and where the hot spots are.

Worked for two weeks.
Thermostat was inaccurate from the beginning. Completely stopped working after two weeks. Nice wide display, but is of very low quality.

Worked well for a short time
Used this just a few times. Got it up to 600 just once, and it never came back down below 450. Not recommended for any sort of repeat use.

stopped working the day after I put it in my oven.
It wasn't exposed to extremely high heat. 350 degrees. Hung it from the oven rack just as directed. BIG waste of money.
