The readout is oversized ¿ 1.8 digits in a 2.0 readout for easy reading from a distance or without glasses on. The capacity is even larger ¿ reaching to 400 lbs (180 kgs) by 0.5 lbs. A bright chrome bezel highlights the readout and the molded platform. The platform also features a texture which helps the slip factor. This scale is very accurate. It shows the same weight as the scale in my doctor's office. It accurately reflects changes in my weight during the day; for example, my weight goes up a pound or two after a meal. It is quite consistent, giving the same weight at comparable times on different days. I am also pleased with the very large (1.8 inches high) and clear digital display. I highly recommend this scale.

This is fairly inexpensive for a strain gauge scale and my household is perfectly satisfied with it. Not having to plug it in to a wall electrical outlet is great.

This scale is nothing but practical. The surface is flat and big, very easy to read display. Also I found it's readings are more consistant than my old one.
