4.0 out of 5 stars It has big numbers
It is easy to read and easy to use but it doesn't have a on and off switch so it is always on. If you want to turn it off to save the battery you have to take the battery out when you are done using it and put it back in when you want to use it again. It would be a lot more convenient if you could just turn it off.

My stove is about eight years old and the timer doesn't work. The repairmen can't seem to fix it, even with replacement. I ordered the Taylor Classic Style Big Kitchen Timer and so far my biggest mistake was not ordering two or more. It seems as though anymore, not many things are worth the money paid but with this timer, I got more than my money's worth. I absolutely love it!! It's accurate, easy to set and very dependable!! Holiday cooking will be much easier now that I don't have to worry about whether or not my timer will work! My son borrows it for timing ebay auctions, so I find myself calling to him often, "Hey you! Where's my timer??" Let me tell you folks, order this while you can. They can't seem to keep them in stock!! There are many reasons to use a timer and this one is great!! Thank you Taylor.

4.0 out of 5 stars Feeble Alarm..., December 12, 2003

The alarm of my timer emits a feeble beep for one minute and ought to be louder IMO. Otherwise it works fine. It is not a clock as another wrote..

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Kitchen Timer, March 3, 2010

It has been a while since I purchased this timer but it was wonderful for my needs. We were using it to time gamers who would spend time in a "Beta Zone" at Six Flags over GA. I had modified the timer control panel so that the buttons weren't usable but by pushing a small wire through a hole, the attendant could start the timer running. These particular timers were the best for this purpose and ran flawlessly.

A convenient timer. It can be placed on counter or magnetized on refrigerator. It is a perfect 24 hour timer for anything one needs to time for short or long periods. It is very helpful for me when I make yogurt which requires over 8 hours.

I bought this timer since my hubby thinks all of the other digital timers are too loud. The volume was much more suitable to him and I really liked the big numbers that you can see across the room. Too bad it's not available anymore I was going to get another one.
