Taylor Guitars did a really nice job on Taylor Swift's first signature model and the sound is really articulate for such a small guitar and would recommend highly and really like the fact that it has a solid spruce top and will get better as the guitar ages...Always wobndered why there where so many fans of the baby taylor line but this guitar can give you the sound of a dreadnought but in a much smaller size...like the fact it has an ebony fretboard and the silk screen rosette looks really good on the guitar and recommend this guitar for everyone..

Best travel guitar avaliable, and a fine guitar as well.,

I have several Taylor guitars, and have owned a Big Baby for several years. I own several travel guitars (including the Martin) and the Taylor is the only one that sounds like a real guitar. Another reviewer suggests her Taylor doesn't stay in tune, but also mentions it was damaged in transit. My Big Baby is used for Youth Group bible study and has sat out on a stand for years and I can say it rarely needs retuning unless it's played a lot and hard. Then again, I maintain a consistent relative humidity in my house. Bottom line, it's a quality though relatively inexpensive instrument. You're not going to find anything any better in this price range. Like any wood instrument it will be impacted by changes in temperature and humidity.
How small is it? Well, it's smallish, yet very playable. If the person playing it is on the smaller side it is a perfect size. Far better than trying to play my Taylor full-size dreadnought. As far as the Swift commemorative design, that is a matter of taste. The regular Baby Taylor is a bit boring looking, as all of the effort was put into making a quality product as inexpensive as possible. I personally think the Swift looks nice. And if Swift's meteoric rise in popularity doesn't go to her head, this model may be desirable some day. I suspect a high-end Swift commemorative may follow.

This is a beautiful high quality guitar that I purchased for my daughter because of her love for Taylor Swift. The Taylor Swift signature and logo have been beautifully added. My daugher's guitar teacher is a seasoned professional and he is very impressed with the quality of sound from this small guitar. The size is perfect for a young person just starting in music, it is easily handled and her arms fit easily around it. It comes with a great case that is light weight and easy to carry. I would definitely recommend this guitar to anyone interested in purchasing a guitar for a child and it is also good for adults that want a small guitar to play while riding in a vehicle or while in some other small space. Excellent beginner Guitar for a younger small child. Will also work with older kids except they may not like the idea this is a small guitar. My Daughter loves it and her small hands have no problems holding and playing this Guitar. The only quirk is it is a little expensive for beginner Guitar for younger children but not a deal breaker in my opinion.

Best Beginner Guitar for 8 Year Old Girl,

My 8 year old loves this guitar ... It is her first guitar and, not surprising for an 8-year old girl, looks are everything! And since she likes the guitar, she plays everyday. The delicate screen-printed rosette around the keyhole that gives this lovely piece individuality. And, my daughter even likes the soft, custom-sized gig bag included with the purchase.
This 3/4 size guitar fits nicely against her body and the fret board is the perfect size for her little fingers. The guitar, made in Mexico, is reasonably well-built. The solid Sitka spruce top helps produce a nice tone, and this small guitar produces a surprising amount of volume given the narrowness of the body. The Taylor Swift Taylor needs to be re-tuned almost everyday, so I subsequently purchased a small Korg CA-40 tuner for $16 to keep this baby in tune. When my daughter grows out of this 3/4 size guitar, I am confident that I can resell it and recoup much of my investment - given the Taylor name and the quality of this guitar.

Big sound for a little guitar (a bit too big?),

I wanted a small guitar for my two kids to share, and my daughter, and I(!) are BIG Taylor Swift fans, so tried this one out, but had several other small guitars to compare it to. Actually I DID NOT buy the Swift guitar, because it had such a big, almost too resonant sound. It really sounds like a full dreadnaught style guitar. My jaw dropped when I hit the first chord, followed by a big 'WOW!' But I was looking for something much more intimate, for eventual finger picking and classical style, and studio playing; this Taylor guitar just rang like bells all over the place! SO, if you want a big sound in a little guitar, this just might be the one? I gave the guitar 5 stars even though I ended up buying the similar-sized Yamaha, because the Taylor really does kick. It's nice!!! For travel, campfires, out-door concerts, and sing-alongs, this is pretty much what you might want. The Yamaha has a much softer, quiter, but maybe more focused sound which is what I was looking for. Oh, the action on the Swift seemed very high, and a bit more work than even I am used too; not sure if that might have been due to changes during shipping, and the guitar store did not have the right wrench, so could not adjust it. I liked the sound shape and responce, but again, just TOO big a sound for what I was looking for. I hope this helps, if you are buying without the chance to play the guitar? The Sitka-spuce top has a VERY sweet edge to it!!! (Oh, and my son was VERY happy I did not get the Taylor Swift guitar, as it has little hearts and 'love' all around the sound hole; NOT for small boys; definately a girl's guitar!!!)

I've got one of these, in non-Taylor Swift model, used for travel and evenings on the deck. Like all Taylors, it's got a bright top-end and a slim, easy playing neck. For such a small guitar--not much bigger than a ukulele--it throws off a decent amount of sound and real guitar tone. The bass response is nothing to write home about, but that's because the smaller body and short scale can't give you dreadnought bass. For the price, it's a great little guitar to bring along to the beach and no big deal if it ends up damaged.
If you're looking for a more balanced sound with a bit more bass, try the mini Martin, although with that one you don't get a real spruce top.

I've had it for over a month and the guitar is still tuned unlike other economical guitars. Sounds great. The case is very nice too.

I've had this guitar for a couple of weeks. My first impression is that it is cheaply made, but still pretty sturdy. The tone is ok for such small guitar and the gig bag and size are great for throwing it in the car for a quick trip. Overall, its not a bad guitar, the neck is smooth and easy to play, and it's plenty loud for campfires. But, for some reason I just can't seem to keep it in tune. I tune it up and the next day, its out of tune again. If I play for an hour, its out of tune already. So, mainly for that reason, and it came to me damaged in shipment, I am going to return it and continue on my search for a quality guitar that I can travel with as well. I hate to return it because I'm a huge taylor fan, as I have 3-4 Taylors and I wanted to remain loyal to my brand, but in this case, I'm going to have to pass. I may try to get an older USA made one to see if that makes a difference. But, I still recommend this guitar to y'all if you don't mind tuning it up more often. :-)
