I bought two of these, both of which "unbuckled" when the boat fender hit the dock. I now have them strapped into place without using the quick release feature, but that defeats the purpose of having them. Avoid this product.

I just bought a new boat and the boat came with these straps on the fenders. Looked like a good idea, but one was broken so I bought a few new ones. It is a great idea; however, they don't seem to hold up very long. I left them on the boat to protect it from the dock, when I returned two weeks later (okay, I know, two weeks, what was I thinking?) the straps were twisted and one was broken. These probably work great for short term protection, tying up with other boats for an afternoon, at the gas dock, etc., but not so great for longer term, unattended, use.
