I find this to be one of the best shaving creams available. The Lavender version is quite good (although my favorite is Avocado). It's best when used with a good brush (preferably made of badger hair). It provides excellent protection from your razor. I find that a tub of this stuff lasts approximately 4-6 months, depending on how often you shave and how large a dab you use; you'll be surprised how just a little dab develops into plenty of lather. Highly recommended.

I used Taylor of Old Bond Street lavender shafing cream which was great. Decided to try Rose to change a scent a bit and another great product. Scent is a very soft scent and could be smelled only if someone gets close enough to the face, so it's not overpowering. I use non-scented after shave Nivea balm so the scent would stay there.

This is the fifth different scented Taylor's of Old Bond Street that I have tried. My wife likes the Rose and the Sandlwood the best. I think the "Eaton College" might be the best. Honestly there aren't any of the five that I don't like. The Lemon and Lime has a strange greenish color, other reviewers state that the Lavendar scent is the strangest color. That will be my next one to try. They are all great if you like a hot wet shave with tons of lather and smooth shaves. If you don't, then use a can! Heck, even "Mennan" and "VDH" cake soaps are better than canned lather. Nothing beats the lather from a badger brush. It took me thirty years to switch from hard cake soap to Taylor's of Old Bond Street and the Badger Brush, do yourself a favor try the soft cream of TOBS and a Badger hair brush.

Smells great, feels great, and it works like a charm, what more could you want? it's no surprise these guys have been making this cream for so long. I will definitely buy from them again.

This is an outstanding cream. With just a little dab and a wet brush, you can make loads of lather in seconds! It has a subtle rose scent that does not linger for more than 15 minutes. I get my best shaves from this cream.
The only thing I don't like is the plastic bowl. It's very difficult to handle with wet hands, and I have spilled some of its contents more than once because of this.

After having shaved with Trumpers, D. R. Harris, Truefitt & Hill, and Crabtree & Evelyn creams, I must say that Taylor's is as good as any of them and better than some. The moisture content is high to start with, and the resultant lather is copious. The scent is clean and natural smelling (I have a liking for the Lavender). My favorite attribute of this cream is the lack of chemical smell or irritation. It is comfortable for even my sensitve neck. As an original disciple of Charles Roberts and his Method Shaving system, I have tried some very good, high end products. Taylor's gives me the quality I'm used for less. Without a doubt, this is the best shaving cream I've ever tried. It's a bit expensive, but a tub lasts me about six months, so I figure it's a relatively cheap indulgence. It smells great, and it feels wonderful on my face.

It's Great!! I've always used a brush and made lather in a mug so this took a little adjusting. I still use the brush and heat it up with real hot water and then poke my face with the brush to open up the pores. Then just lightly touch the cream with the brush. It looks like there is barley any cream on the brush. I then make the lather on my face, instead of the mug, with the brush and that little amount covers my whole face. This jar is going to last a long, long time. Great shaving results!!

I have to say, Taylor of Old Bond Street makes a good shaving cream. I put very little on my brush, rub it on my face and then go back and re-wet the brush and then rub some more. The cream lathers up incredibly thick. My skin is fairly sensitive and this cream protects my face like none other that I have tried. The lavendar smell is not overly strong and could be a little richer. Other than that, the increase in quality over a grocery store cream or gel is worth in the increase in price.

Taylors is one of the oldest and most renowned shaving creams on the market today. The only one that even holds a candle would Truefitts, and that is some good company to keep. This specific cream is amazing! I know it says can be used with or without a brush, but in all honesty you need that brush. Get the brush wet, just dab the tips of the brush in the jar and mix in a bowl or your hand. Its a little piece of shaving heaven. It makes more lather then you will use if you made 10 separate passes. I know your looking at the price and thinking its a little steep but trust me your not wasting money here. If they charged triple this amount I would still pay it.

This is quality gentlemen. Your getting the best shave of your life with the best cream on the market. The smell is amazing and it lasts all day. You will never use that perfumed aftershave again, this stuff smells 10X better then any of that. Try it out. If you don't like Lavender go with Sandalwood or something else, but this company is the way to go
