I gave this item 4 stars simply because it stated it was an outdoor thermometer and I assumed it would have a bracket or something to make outdoor mounting easy. Instead it fastens with one screw that slides into a notch on the rear. Almost impossible to place outside a window and be able to view it. Other than that its a fine low cost instrument.

It's a nice big thermometer. It only had one place to hook it over a screw to mount it, so we put another hole in the plastic near the bottom so it would be more secure. You have to be standing right in front of it to see the red line at the best angle, so it's not the best for viewing from afar, even though it is pretty big. I got a round window cling thermometer that's much easier to read than this one.

It is a big one! You need a place to place the stuff. It works OK but it is not sensitive.

Poor Quality
The thermometer tube was mounted turned slightly to the left, so you can't see the magnified part unless you look at it at an angle.

NIce design, works well
BIG so you can see it from inside the house. Clear display, nice clean design. I haven't checked the accuracy but if it is off my a little, its no problem.

quite ok for a very reasonable price
Unfortunately, it was broken when my Dad brought it from US to Vietnam for me. Anyway, it is a good one.

Jumbo Thermometer Review
The thermometer is easy to read and replaces a metal thermometer that was beginning to rust. The new thermometer has a plastic body, so rust won't be an issue.
