Purchased the rain gauge as a Christmas present for my father in law. It worked fine for a week and he liked the features however it has now stopped working. The wireless device will not communicate with the rain gauge even though the batteries are good and the read out is working. We will see how Amazon responds to my request for a replacement then I will update my review.

The system really does work.
It's a little hard to set up--and it takes a little while to start indicating--so you need some patience. ONLY ONE SERIOUS DEFECT DON'T Put the batteries in backwards. There is no protection built in and even though direction is marked on the case it's almost impossible to see. And you don't get a second chance. I see the product is no longer available. That's unfortunate. It would also be worthwhile if you could buy the part that you damaged rather than the whole item.
