This heavy-duty dial scale uses Taylor's exclusive ProHelix rack-and-pinion system for accuracy. It's so sensitive, the needle vibrates slightly with the pulse in your foot. Any change in your weight is sure to register, for better or worse. If you monitor your pounds over time for any reason, there are color-coded tabs to track your weight. The numbers on the dial are easy to read, and go up to 330 pounds. This scale does not show kilograms. At 12 by 18 inches, this is not a discreet scale you can slip under a bathmat, but its sleek, slightly retro design and white finish look good in any bathroom. Because of its durable construction, this is also a good scale for high-use areas, such as medical offices or gyms. I bought the scale because of it's retro look and the advertized precision mechanism. I use it, but I don't like it. It is bigger than my bathroom (so it resides under my bed), and the weight varies by about 6 lbs. I usually stand on it about 4 times and take an average in my head... okay, I take the low number. So what! Afterall, it's not that low.

I bought this scale because the weight max. went up to 330 but, the scale has not been accurate at any weight and not even close when weighing over 300. For people under 300 it weighed about 5 pounds over, but for people over 300 it was a shot in the dark. Sometimes weighing over by 10 pounds. It's bulky and not accurate, and definitaly not worth the 50 bucks they ask for it!!

Each time we use this scale we weigh something different. When stepping off it doesn't return to 0. Even if you 0 the scale before each use, it shows you a different weight.
