4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent looking, but sensitive
This scale is very stylish, and it works great. I used some free weights and did about 30 different tests, and from 80-120 lbs (I didn't test outside of this), it is very accurate. It does seem to need to be reset to zero if it is at all bumped or moved, which would lead you to think it was not accurate, but that is not the case. The adjustment dial is easy to reach --...

2.0 out of 5 stars Looks good, but sorry to say, it's just not
I purchased this scale some time ago and have, from the first been disappointed. We never use it. It just sits on the bathroom floor, taking up space and offering us the opportunity to stubb our toes.

I purchased this scale some time ago and have, from the first been disappointed. We never use it. It just sits on the bathroom floor, taking up space and offering us the opportunity to stubb our toes.

Depending on whether I shift my weight toward my heels or toes, the reading varies as much as 12 pounds, which is, in my case is a 4%, difference. This seems a rather large variance and it makes it impossible to use this scale as part of any weight-loss program.

When we first got it I sent the company a letter asking for a replacement (I had already exchanged it once at the store), to which I never received a reply.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not as big as "Big Guy", but I've experienced similar problems., July 8, 2005

This thing is bathroom furniture. If you have trouble keeping a door open, this scale might be really useful.

It's nearly impossible to zero this scale. Turning the zero knob does nothing for several turns, then - WHAM! - it jumps 5 pounds. When I weigh myself multiple times, my "weight" can vary as much as 10 pounds. I'm about 180, so that's 5.5%.

Well, at least I'll have something for my next yard sale.

After use the arrow does not return to exact "0" setting. Some times it returns afew pounds before or after "0" as set but never to the original "0" as set.

The adjustment dial is easy to reach -- on top/in front, so it is not a big deal. This is the first scale I have seen that actually looks like it belongs in the room -- an excellent design.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big enough for me, March 12, 2006

This scale gives me repeatable results. Sure, I can make it wiggle around if I shift my weight around, but if I stand still and centered on the platform, the reading is steady.

The platform has enough room for my big feet, and the display is big enough for my tired old eyes to read easily.

This scale looks and feels rugged and well made. Full marks from this big guy (340lbs)
