5.0 out of 5 stars Great Timer and Intuitive Operation
This is a great timer and you can't do better for the money. I read other reviews and was nervous because some people said that you need to press a sequence of four buttons to get it to reset, but this is not true. For people who have a very hard time with gadgets it probably is harder to figure out, but I found it extremely intuitive. All you need to do is select...

A double timer is a great idea, but this device turned out to not be a winner in practice. Clearing the timer and getting back to a clock display always seems to take one button press more than should be needed. The killer is that all of these button presses are around the EDGE of the timer, whereas the magnet/stand that should allow you to use it one-handed is in the...

This is a great timer and you can't do better for the money. I read other reviews and was nervous because some people said that you need to press a sequence of four buttons to get it to reset, but this is not true. For people who have a very hard time with gadgets it probably is harder to figure out, but I found it extremely intuitive. All you need to do is select either timer 1 or timer 2, and then you can operate it the same as any other timer. Very easy. The only thing that may confuse people is that recall and clear are the same button, so in order to clear the timer back to zero you press it twice (pressing it once will recall the previous amount of time that you programmed). The buttons are alos nice and big for people who care about that.

One nice thing is that timer 2 has a louder alarm than timer one, so you can decide whether you want a soft alert or a loud one. My only complaint is that the magnet is not quite strong enough for the size of this timer, so it wouldn't be hard to knock of the refrigerator. It seems hard to find a timer with a good enough magnet, mainly because timers seem to be getting larger without expanding the strength of the magnet. However, the stand is nice and solid for putting it on a countertop or table.

I didn't really need two timers, but this one is so cheap and works so well that having the spare is just a nice bonus. I highly recommend this item, as long as you have an average ability to figure out gadgets intuitively and as long as you don't need this to stay solidly in place with the magnet on the refrigerator.

A double timer is a great idea, but this device turned out to not be a winner in practice. Clearing the timer and getting back to a clock display always seems to take one button press more than should be needed. The killer is that all of these button presses are around the EDGE of the timer, whereas the magnet/stand that should allow you to use it one-handed is in the MIDDLE of the back, providing no support for pressing those buttons. The second time I used it, pressing a timer button made it tilt against the front of the fridge, disconnecting the magnet, and dropping it six feet to the floor. Stupidly, I had already shredded the receipt, so I'm sure the karma was my fault anyway.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but fussy, December 28, 2005

This is a pretty good timer with two timing capability, but the only complaint I have with it is that you have to push a minimum of four different buttons just to stop the timer and get it to stop the led screen from flashing. However, it has very nifty features and the sound of the timer is not too irritating. Also, the five minute warning is very useful.

2.0 out of 5 stars poor product, May 6, 2006
This review is from: Taylor Two-Event Digital Timer/Clock (Kitchen)
Buttons stick (after only 2 months, need to use your nails to get them out and working), complicated secuence to reset (and I'm pretty good with machines..this is NOT intuitive at all! You have to push stop, timer, stop, reset, reset AGAIN and clook to stop it!!!), cheaped made.
If you can overlook these flaws is OK and has nice features (nice sound, 5 minutes warning, recall and off course, double timer)

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice, October 5, 2005

It is big enough to work as a kitchen timer. The two timer feature is great. It is loud enough to use in another room. The required sequence of button pushes for resetting the timer is complicated. All in all, I would recommend it.

I purchased this for my girlfriend who is a teacher to use to time things such as tests or other activities. Having two timers seemed to be a good idea. The first one we got from Amazon had a broken start/stop button which was no fun. Amazon shipped us another via 2 day shipping and this new one works just fine. However I do have to say the quality isnt the greatest. It is not junk by any means but I worry about the buttons breaking after heavy use. But for the cost of this thing I do think it is worth it. If you want a cheap timer that will do the job I would get this one. The magnetic clip on the back is very sturdy and is a nice feature. One other nice thing is that it has very easy to read and use, instructions on the back of the package.

The Taylor Two-Event Digital Timer/Clock arrived with only the lower digits working. Considering the low price and effort required to return the item, we decided to keep it. We now have a Taylor One-Event Digital Timer/Clock.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good As The One I stepped on, January 18, 2008

This review is from: Taylor Two-Event Digital Timer/Clock (Kitchen)
I had bought a like timer last year. Knocked it on the floor, stepped on it inadvertently. First one broke...
I immediately started the replacement process. It's so versatile i can set it for up to 24 hours later.
Useful for taking pills at two different times. And for warning me time is coming up for favorite TV show...

Needs sharp mind to set it for both separate times. Worth the trouble of learning how.

Really helps avoid those "Senior Moments".

5.0 out of 5 stars Very convenient and easy to use, March 9, 2006
This review is from: Taylor Two-Event Digital Timer/Clock (Kitchen)
This is a good one. Large buttons help operate easily. Size of Numbers is about 1/2 inch for each time display. The audible alert is pleasant to hear. Loud enough for within the room use or nearby. I read the previous reviews and bought this one. I use it for timing practice tests for my kids. Easy directions and pretty sturdy. I use it on a table top, so I have no idea how strong the magent is. Worth the money.
