The instructions are in a miniscule font so you may need a magnifying glass to read them, but the unit is easy to operate so the reading the instructions is a onetime affair.
I use the thermometer in an orchard. It has two temperature probes that work identically; each has its own buttons. The unit stores the minimum and maximum temperature for each 24-hour period for up to six days. You can purge the data using the reset button. Otherwise, it will replace sixth day's min max temperatures with the 5th day's data and so on.
Although the device is supposedly for outdoor use, the battery door is not waterproof so I hang the device out of the weather. To replace the battery you remove two very small Phillips head screws. Do this indoors to avoid losing the screws.
Overall, it seems like a good unit for the price however, the battery door could be better, the printed instructions bigger, and it should come with quality US manufactured batteries.
