Excited to use them this coming spring.

I've also played a lot more, because I WANT to play more now that I have quality equipment that doesn't make me feel horrible.

I got these about two months ago to replace my old generic (Callaway X-14 clone) irons that I bought new in 2003.

I am not even close to a scratch golfer. I was hitting in the 130s with my old irons. I was very inconsistent in aim and distance. (I also have new Callaway driver and fairway woods that help a lot, as well as a lot more practice).

Now I'm hitting in double-digits for the first time! I hit long, high, and straight with these. I've also played a lot more, because I WANT to play more now that I have quality equipment that doesn't make me feel horrible. I feel confident that I can make tough shots because the clubs feel good in my hands, they are consistent, and I know I have quality between my hands and the ball.

Only downside is there's no 3-iron and no Sand Wedge in this set. I bought a SW for $50 after searching. I settled for a 19* hybrid (TaylorMade Raylor) in lieu of the 3I. They do make a 3 Iron (19*) as well as a lob wedge (60*), but I have not been able to find those individual clubs for sale anywhere, not even direct from TaylorMade.

Here's basically how I hit them. The loft is a bit different than other manufacturers. I'm now about a 25 handicap, I'm 6'1" and 220 pounds. I played baseball in college (which contributes to my poor handicap until I unlearn how to hit a baseball).

4I 190-210 (21*) - I will hit this in lieu of a fairway wood, it's straight and long
5I 180-190 (24*)
6I 175-180 (27*)
7I 160-175 (31*)
8I 150-165 (35*)
9I 140-150 (40*)
PW 120-140 (45*) - I use this where I used to use a 7I!
AW 100-120 (50*) - Don't really use it now that I have the SW.
SW 60-100 (55*) - purchased separately from the set for $50 new. GREAT club, should be part of the basic set.

These clubs are great, they have a nice sweet spot and the ball travels pretty good. I just need to work on my swing.

I bought these new a year ago and they are a great buy. These replaced 15+ year old DCI's and I hit these club a lot longer! They even get up in the air on mis hits. At first I had trouble adjusting to the thicker sole, but now have no problem whatsoever. I hit my DCI 9 iron right at 150, I hit my Burner 9 close to 165 with the same swing. Good pick up for the price.
