This is my third R7 driver. I cracked the crown of the first one (a major crack, about 3/4 inch split right on the top - TaylorMade DID NOT REPLACE IT even though I was within the warranty period) on a drive that endd up being 320 yards. I still own my second R7 460, but the wrong shaft is installed for my swing. Instead of buying a new shaft, I bought the most recent model, the TP Superquad. It came with the original Taylormade "X" extra stiff shaft.

From the first hit, the Superquad TP was rock solid, sounds great as well. The face is open 1 degree, which I like. Very easy to manipulate ball flight (low, high, fade, draw) with he weights set up for straight hits. It's a very good driver. I think the extra stiff shaft really allowed me to swing hard with confidence

I usually hit the ball a very long way, averaging 280+, and hit a 370 yarder (wind aided) with his driver. On one hit, there was a familiar thunk. The crown cracked - my second cracked R7. This crack was much smaller than the first one, about the size of my pinky fingernail. I can still use it to hit 280+ drives. Although the driver plays great, I simply don't feel like buying drivers that I have personally experienced failures with and will not purchase another TaylorMade driver.

Very good driver as far as feel, control and distance. Quality control is an issue with me.

I have had my other driver for 5 years. No matter how I swung it, the ball would go either right or left. The first time I put the R7 in my hand it went hard right. The first 9 holes of the first round was terrible. Then it started to straighten out. I hit this club more consistant with more distance. I'm on the greens in regulation more often. The club head is basically the same size as my other club. I can't seem to hit those large club head drivers. The R7 just feels comfortable in my hand. It has elevated my confidence and some of my friends kid me and say I bought a game!

The R7 superquad is a wonderful club to consider. The graphite shaft and light weight help get good distance, even with a slow (beginner) swing speed. The advantage to that is being able to focus on your swing mechanics with out sacrificing distance. It seems like all my shots look straighter and go farther, even the bad ones.

I've been using an r7 quad 400cc driver for two years and it has really helped straiten out my drives. I recently upgraded to the r7 Superquad 460 cc driver 10.5 loft and hit my longest drive ever - and strait down the center of the fairway! The Reax R flex shaft is perfect for my game and the sound of a solid strike sends shivers down my spine. This is the best driver I've ever used.

This club has changed my game in a way that no other club could. I will never buy another driver. It changed a severe slice into straight shots everytime - most times with a slight draw. Can't say enough about how good this driver is! As usual, Amazon delivery was perfect and right on time.

I believe that this driver, with the weight distribution system offers great flexibility and versatility. The driver is very forgiving, so even shots that are not exactly on the sweet spot still have a good outcome. I am very happy with this driver.

The reason I gave this product a four instead of a five was this: The first time i recieved it was shipped in an incredibly crude fashion. My club arrived with the box completely mangled, and the shaft broken in three places. Fortunately Amazon was very kind about the issue and rush shipped me a free replacement. Oh by the way, I highly recommend the stiff shaft if you have any swing speed. I hit it on the range the next day: 50 yards further than a steel driver from around 2000. They are selling it at a bargain price, and the weight system is great. If i want it low it goes low, high high, draw it draws, fade so on... that is, well in reality the draw straightens out any slice if you hit one. I love it. ON GOOD CONTACT I AM HITTING THE BACK FENCE, IF NOT OVER IT.
