A good overall value IMHO.

This ball provide good distance for the woods and long irons while being soft enough to feel great around and on the green.

TaylorMade is one of my favorite gold brands, and I use their balls a lot when I play.

I am a 6 handicap senior tournament player who plays about 27 holes per week in southeast Texas. We have 10-30 MPH wind most of the year and I have played ProV1 many years and this ball for my 95MPH swing is just right. It stays on line very well with the wind, has great green side spin and is as long as any ball I have tried. For the money this ball is better than he premium balls if you do not swing more than 100MPH.

A group of us recently did a test with this and four other balls... all of them fairly high end. I will not mention the makers of the other balls. We played an ocean side course in California.

This ball was considered the most playable and enjoyable of the test, by the entire group. The testers consisted of a group ranging from 5 to 50 handicaps.

Responsiveness, putting and drive ability were great with this ball. Highly recommended.

This ball does not perform as described. It feels too soft off all the clubs. My club head speed is only 93 and this ball goes shorter than either the ProV1X or Taylormade TP X. The Project [A] feels like a laddie or ladies ball. I do not recommend this ball.

I got these for my husband to try as he is an avid golfer. Here are his impressions: 1) Putting – the balls felt good and tracked well on very firm greens 2) The balls had a distinct sound at impact off of his metal wood that was different and “more” pleasing than the bucket of range balls he warmed up with. The (a) project balls flew straight and felt good off both woods and irons. The specs for the (a) project include longer length which he would concur with. He hit a very high ball with his irons and the (a) project definitely seemed to like the higher trajectory. To the green, he had a handful of ball marks and the ball didn't wander more than a foot from the mark – no spin. The balls that he did play, the covers held up well – no scuffs or cuts. He shot an 89. Was he sold? Yes, at least for this round of golf. He rates the (a) project 4 stars as he claims he only has a 3 star golf game!

My good golfing buddy and I split a dozen of these balls. These are soft and very responsive. They sound good when you hit them (and you golfers know what I mean....). Really sound and go good when hit with my white Taylor Made Driver. Longest balls off the tee - no kidding. They really feel a lot like the Pro-V1 ( my favorite ) but are significant less costly. The cost factor comes into play when you watch someone hit 3 of these into the lake in a row. Great feel on long iron shots. Easy to control around the green. High trajectory shots looked and felt really good but they seemed to need an extra club for distance as they kept landing one club short distance wise. I really noticed this with a full lob wedge the first time. No big deal to correct so be aware that this may be an issue. The wind may have been a factor in holding up the shots but there was very little side motion noticed when there was a cross wind ( I'll call that a plus!) Next time I go to reach for a dozen Pro-V1s I will probably think twice and get more TaylorMade Project (a) balls. Thank you TaylorMade!

I picked up this set of balls as an amateur golfer (I play every few weeks, for fun, and will never win a tournament of any type), so I am reviewing this set of balls as someone who is not an expert.

I really enjoyed playing with them. When I used them I didn't see marked improvement in my game (I don't think a ball can make you a vastly better player), but they performed as I expected them to. They were soft enough around the greens, and they were plenty long off my driver and my irons.

I wish I could say that these balls improved my handicap by leaps and bounds (if a ball could do that we would all be on the PGA tour), but it was a well made ball that seemed to deliver on its promises. I think every other week golfers to serious golfers would be happy with this ball.

awesome ball that flies true and really spins. If you are a 10-20 handicap looking to drop a couple strokes with better ball control and added distance this is the ball for you.

I like to put a lot of biting spin on my short iron shots... Especially my flop shots around the green. This ball provide good distance for the woods and long irons while being soft enough to feel great around and on the green. Give these a shot, if you have not already.
