Flavor Name: English Breakfast Verified Purchase
I have been drinking this tea for months now along with the Tazo Zen green tea. I love both flavors and have found that they make a wonderful iced tea (the only way I like to drink tea). I have found that if you cold brew this tea and the Zen green tea, they do have the flavor undertones that the box states. It almost seems to have a "solidness" to the flavor that seems to fit the breakfast concept well. I definitely recommend it if you like a nice smooth flavor to your black tea. I use the Starbucks Classic syrup in this tea and the flavor is perfect together (you can buy classic syrup in a bottle from almost any Starbucks location).

Just as a side for those who are interested. Cold brewing just means that you place the tea bags in the fridge in water and let it set, usually at least 3 hours. It's that simple! It maintains the full subtle flavor of the tea much better and is almost impossible to turn bitter or mess it up unless you use too many tea bags. This only works if you plan to have iced tea of course. I use 4 "Awake" tea bags in 2 quarts of water and let it set overnight. I don't remove the tea bags until I have drank all the tea. It's delicious and super easy. I would recommend trying it to anyone who likes iced tea!

Flavor Name: Chai
This one is the Best of all the chai teas I've tried, and I've tried bunches!

Numi - almost as good, but very pricey
Twinnings - all you taste is black tea, no chai spices
Stash - too cinnamony
Good Earth - great chai spice taste, but not enough black tea taste!
Yogi - see Good Earth
Celestial Seasonings - see Stash

I've even tried the Marsala Chai at Cost Plus, which was pretty good, but can't compare to Tazo!

Tazo has the perfect blend of black tea and chai spices and is reasonably priced. I alternate this one with Stash Holiday Chai (my 2nd favorite).

If you don't want to buy this much tea just to try, then go to Target. They have individual boxes of this tea for under 4 bucks.

Flavor Name: Chai
I have bought the same Organic black Chai with spices from Tazo for the past 5 years and I drink mine with milk every morning without fail. That is how much I loved the old Tea. So today I went to the store to buy my chai and the old one was sold out; I end up buying the new one think only the box has changed was I wrong. As someone stated "The blend is not as strong, so you need more tea bags to get close to the same amount of flavor as the old bag." Why, Change a good thing?

I know "hate" is a strong word but that is how I feel about the New Organic black chai by Tazo. In the past I would gladly spend $4 dollars at my local supermarket for the tea but now wouldn't spend $ 4.00 for the new one. The tea was top of the line for me and now it's like any other black Chais out there in the market.

Flavor Name: China Green Tips
*****
Tazo's China Green Tips Green Tea is a slightly stronger green tea than Tazo's Zen, and I liked that it doesn't contain Tazo's omnipresent "natural flavors" that almost all of their other teas contain, which to me is not an advantage. I like a natural, real taste with real ingredients sans vague "natural flavors" and sans flavorings, sans essences, etc. China Green Tips delivers this in a cleaner, purer way than Tazo's other teas. I liked this green tea!

The ingredients in China Green Tips are simply spring-harvested green teas from China. It contains caffeine.

Tazo is an interesting company that makes only super premium teas. They are socially responsible, based in Portland, and have the motto, "The Reincarnation of Tea". Tazo is owned by Starbucks. Their web site is fun and quirky, with a Zen-type focus, definitely worth checking out. It is unclear, though, from their web site, how many of their ingredients are organic or kosher, and they do use some "natural flavors" in their teas--this wording seems a little vague and unnecessary for a super premium tea. China Green Tips has none of these "natural flavors" and it shows in the quality and cleanliness of the tea experience.

On the paper tea packet, Tazo writes, "a traditional Chinese green tea with a delicate fresh taste and a light green liquor." This is the perfect way to describe this tea! On their web site, Tazo describes the flavor profile of China Green Tips as "grassy, vegetative, sweet, ricey". Tazo describes the aroma as "vegetative, popcorn".

I would rate this tea, and Tazo in general, as very good---better than premium teas like Stash or Celestial Seasonings---but not as good as Numi or Aspen.

Flavor Name: Herbal Infusion
I love tea and this tea left me asking how anyone could mess up tea so badly. I cannot fathom why they add coloring to the tea. My water looked so bright pink/purplish that I was worried it would stain my teeth. I prefer my tea without added sugar or sweeteners, and this tea was very tart and left a funky aftertaste.
The only good thing I can say is that I got this tea free because I would be mad if I had spent money on it.

So, going through Starbucks one day, not wanting a coffee, I came across their "Passion Shaken Tea." I plunked down my money, and found the best drink I've had in a long time.

This tea has a flavor that I can't quite place, but don't care--it's so good that I'm actually giving up some of my soda addiction.

If you like fresh, tangy flavors, this tea is for you.
