I'm not a Cuban in real life. I only like the music like an obsession. Having enjoyed this obsession for a few years now, I hope I have a tad of authority to speak. This record is truly stunning. This is bar none the best Cuban music I have, across several generations. Buy this one. It is not always easy to get, but you won't go wrong. This is the best of the best. The mix of sweet vocals and expert musicianship and as always complex rythmic patterns make this always new every time you hear it.

A prelude to the absolute classic, "Ya no hace falta" - this is also a really great disc....although it lacks the timba-ness of funk and polyrhythm of the later album.
