About the Author
There is no one with more first hand knowledge of the European tea scene than Jane Pettigrew. She became involved in the world of tea after opening her teashop in southwest London in 1983. Since then she has written a dozen books on tea and one on coffee, including The New Tea Companion. She served as editor of Tea International and the tea editor for Tea and Coffee International. She speaks regularly around the world at professional tea conferences and has consulted with many of the fine hotels of London for their afternoon tea service. Bruce Richardson is the author of 11 books on tea including The Great Tea Rooms of America and Looking Deeply into Tea. He travels to London annually to update his Great Tea Rooms of Britain book. He is a frequent speaker at tea events across America and a regular columnist for Fresh Cup and TeaTime magazines. He has been a tea importer and blender for many years and is the owner of Elmwood Inn Fine Teas. He serves as producer, co-writer and photographer for the Tea in the City travel guides.

Elegant Guide to an Elegant Tea,

Bruce Richardson and Jane Pettigrew have crafted a slim, elegant volume full of enchanting tea experiences in Paris. From Mariage Freres to Le Palais des Thes, tea lovers will delight in this fabulous book that can easily fit in a small purse or bag.
The photographs are lovely and depict the French "esprit" of tea. Tea in The City/Paris will make you want to visit this European paradise for tea, if only to taste the delights of the charming and palatial tea rooms dotted throughout the world's most lively and glamourous neighborhoods. While filled with every piece of information you could want on tea in Paris and remarkably well organized by neighborhoood, the book's tone is light, engaging, and great fun to read. If you don't yet have a flight booked to Paris, you will once you read just a few pages of this terrific guide.
