5.0 out of 5 stars Three great Japanese Teas in One Box!, January 8, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: E & A Tea Company Variety Pack, 1.06-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
Each one of these three green teas from Shizuoka, Japan, is best in its class. The Premium Sencha has the intense flavor and deep green color I like so much. The Genmai Cha Matcha is very much like the Sencha, but with roasted brown rice for its wonderful aroma. The Houji Cha, I understand, is steamed and then roasted to add a toasty flavor. If you want to order just one of these fine teas, click on E & A Tea Company Premium Sencha, 1.06 Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6), E & A Tea Company Gen Mai Cha Matcha, 1.06 Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6), or E & A Tea Company Houji Cha, 1.06 Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6).

If you already like Japanese-style tea you'll be thrilled with this product. Each of the 3 teas have a clean, rich taste that's among the very best in it's class.

If you like tea but you've never tried Japanese-style teas, this variety pack brings you a real treat:

Sencha Green Tea: rich in antioxidants and a much deeper green color than non-Japanese green teas.

Genmai Cha Matcha Tea: roasted brown rice is added to the Sencha green tea to give a nutty taste and a toasted aroma.

Houji Cha Tea: a roasted green tea, low in caffeine, with a smooth body and a toasted flavor.

The tea bags are individually wrapped in color-coded sealed foil packets. The only (minor) complaint I have is that the boxes that hold the packets could have been made in a smaller size- there's a lot of empty space.

5.0 out of 5 stars very good tea but one problem?, January 29, 2008
This review is from: E & A Tea Company Variety Pack, 1.06-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
I gave my sister a box of this tea and she thought was great. I mean really great especially one particular flavor. Unfortunately I do not know which flavor she liked the best? LOL I also had a negative review on one of these flavors from a coffee drinker but I question his ability to appreciate fine tea. Therefore if you're looking for another Lipton stay away but if you're looking for a cut above in something with refined flavor it's worth a try. Just remember which flavor you like the best.
