More About the Author

Jake Shannon (1973 - ) was born in Colorado to mixed race parents and worked in a hodge podge of professions including "quant", entrepreneur, luchador, and book store clerk before settling upon pursuing an unwitting vow of poverty as an independent writer and more importantly, as a stay-at-home dad (his greatest accomplishment). He currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah (which still surprises him) with his wife, three children and three dogs.

Very interesting book, gets to the point really quickly without wasting time and space with showboating. Gives a whole new view on recent politics. Also excellently sourced.

Jake Shannon writes a book that any confused, TRUE Liberty-enthused Tea Party American will thoroughly enjoy. The fact is that the Tea Party HAS been hijacked, and this book provides excellent material to illustrate just how that was done. This book explains the background behind what is currently going on in Conservative Society. It is well cited, and is a must read for those who disapprove of the neo-con mindset that is infesting the once admirable Tea Party movement. This really is Jake Shannon's coming out party as an author and politician. Additionally, it was a quick read (around 100 pages) that will keep you LOCKED in throughout.
