Way underrated,
By The negatives - the roller ball that you use to apply it doesn't roll very easily for some reason. I usually have trouble getting it started so have to work it on the back of my hand. The smell is also not pleasant at all, somewhat like licorice. But I just put a lotion on over it to cover it up and it's not too bad. Also, this will not work on any areas that aren't full-blown blemishes yet. (It doesn't seem to prevent a breakout, only heal it.) Overall, I'm a very satisfied customer.

much better than chemical acne treatments,
By The smell is a bit strong, but I don't find that it's any stronger than other acne treatments...and at least it smells like herbs rather than chemicals!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tea Tree and Parsley Blemish Stick .30 fl. oz. (Health and Beauty)
I bought this product because I've been looking for something to help with my blemishes, that isn't harsh on my skin like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. I've read a lot about tea tree oil and thought I'd try it since it's natural. I used this product for a couple of weeks, and I didn't see any improvement, in fact I think it made my skin worse. I'm thinking maybe I should have gone with a more pure form of tea tree oil, even though they're more expensive, but I don't think I'll be trying anything with tea tree oil again. I'm sure it probably works for some people, but my skin doesn't seem to respond to much of anything, it's extremely sensitive, so I have to be careful about what I use because most products make me break out even worse. So I wouldn't recommend this product for people with sensitive skin. I wish I could get my money back, because I've wasted countless sums of money on ineffective products over the years, and now I'm at a loss about what else I can try that won't be harsh on my skin. I'm very disappointed.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!,

I began to have breakouts during my late elementary school years that continually progressed into worse breakouts, until I finally was in so much pain from the acne(mostly under the skin nodules) that I went to the dermatologist during my freshman year of high school. I don't know if this is every dermatologist but mine was an idiot who didn't think about the side effects of anything and all he wanted was more money from "check-up" visits, so everything he tried just made it more irritated. After several prescription antibiotics, ointments, cleansers, lotions, Proactiv, Acne Free(the list goes on and on) I finally gave up on the chemical stuff. Along with having acne I also have sensitive skin so the chemicals just made the problems worse. Then I found Burts Bees and oh boy did it help.
I picked this product up at a Walgreens counter and decided to give it a try and within the first day the blemishes I had were starting to heal and dry-up; all without irritating my skin! Even the under-the-skin nodules I had surfaced and healed all within about a week. I used this and the Orange Cleanser and Tomato Soap and a little witch hazel(for a toner) twice a day and found that it not only got rid of my acne but after using it for awhile(about 5 years), I no longer get breakouts and I can actually use normal Burts moisturizers and cleansers, though I keep the Herbal Blemish Stick at hand for anything that might come up(which happens now that I am a college student). Overall, after using this product for several years it is still the best treatment that I have found. It actually works. Recommended for anyone who has a problem with conventional acne treatments being too harsh. Natural is the way to go!

A Great Product for Random Breakouts,

I don't really suffer from terrible acne, but every once in a while I need to hide the mountain forming on my face. This was given to me in a Burt's Bees gift basket, so I whipped it out and rubbed some on, not thinking that it would actually do anything. Lo and behold, the pimple had dried up the very next day, flattened out and clearly shrunk. It works consistently, and I actually like the smell.

I really like it,
This review is from: Tea Tree and Parsley Blemish Stick .30 fl. oz. (Health and Beauty)
I have used this product for about a year, sparingly. I have frequent breakouts and have found this to definitely help on those really bad painful pimples! It does sting very slightly but to me thats a good sign that it is working! I dont mind the smell, I actually enjoy it. I have read reviews about the roller ball not working very well... I seem to have the opposite problem. Sometime the one I have leaks too much when I apply and drips down my face.
After I apply to a pimple for a day it stops hurting and the redness greatly diminishes... I believe it really does help my pimples heal faster and not many things do especially for the price! Also I am pregnant so I am able to use it on my face which is HUGE!

Not for me.,
By Cynthia "clefairycynthia" (Miami, Florida) - See all my reviews I suffer from moderate/severe acne and I thought I would give this a try. The smell is very very very strong, and it stays with your for quite some time. This product did'nt do much for my skin. I used it for three weeks and I didn't notice much of a difference. Oh well, it may have worked for some people but it did not work for me.

Didn't Work For Me,
By Paper Alias (New York) - See all my reviews I must say I was very disappointed. I used it for several weeks. It would burn and sting on my face. I thought it would just be a side-effect that would eventually subside, but I just couldn't take it anymore. It had no affect on my pimples at all. The smell of it isn't so pleasant either. I guess it's back to a benzoyl peroxide treatment for me. |
