4.0 out of 5 stars State of the Art in Sound but 1950's Look
My teenage son was thrilled with the sound quality of this console stereo with CD player and turntable. He had always wanted to hear real records and this provided him with an opportunity. Since receiving this console stereo, he has bought several vintage albums and has enjoyed listening to them over and over.

1.0 out of 5 stars disappointing
I selected this model over others because of the reviews. The turntable stopped working within a month. The sound is very weak; I can not hear it in the next room when it is turned all the way up.

5.0 out of 5 stars exactly what I was looking for, October 9, 2008
This review is from: Teac GF-480 Console Stereo with CD Player, Turntable, Cassette Deck, and AM/FM Tuner (Electronics)
First off, I'll say that my stereo came in more of a cherry color--which actually worked out better for me, but may not for some. But this is exactly what I was looking for; it looks great in my living room and is loud enough to fill my one level house with music. And the price was fantastic. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent System, June 30, 2008
This review is from: Teac GF-480 Console Stereo with CD Player, Turntable, Cassette Deck, and AM/FM Tuner (Electronics)
This is an excellent product and it met my expectation in design and wood coloring. The system was actually a house warming gift for my daughter and husband; my daughter in turn giving the system to her husband for Father's Day.

We bought this as a gift for my Dad and his girlfriend. They were happy. We were happy. I'm thinking of getting one for myself!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceeded My Expectations, December 10, 2008
This review is from: Teac GF-480 Console Stereo with CD Player, Turntable, Cassette Deck, and AM/FM Tuner (Electronics)
This stereo arrived today, and I have not been able to stop listening to it! With a 1940s look and the ability to play all of my old 45s, I could not be happier. Every scratch on my old records is just a memory from the past. The sound is much better than I anticipated. I have played CDs, cassettes, and the radio as well. This stereo is definitely one of the best purchases I have made for myself in a long time. I highly recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars AM/FM Tuner hard to turn, November 11, 2008
This review is from: Teac GF-480 Console Stereo with CD Player, Turntable, Cassette Deck, and AM/FM Tuner (Electronics)
The knob on the tuner is really hard to turn. Otherwise it is sturdy and arrived without any scratches or nicks. The turntable and cd player works very well and has good sound quality
