Better than the Bose tabletop!,
By
This review is from: Teac MC-DX20B 45-Watt Tabletop or Wall-Mountable CD System with AM/FM Stereo and Subwoofer (Electronics)
I decided to return the Bose tabletop selling for $500 bucks and get this system instead. After searching all systems on Amazon I decided this one would be the best bet. The subwoofer gives lots of power if you want and the main unit is ultra slim, you can hang on wall (only to have the speakers close to the main unit) or you can spread the speakers out for better sound quality literally fills the room. I pod hook up is no prob as there is an AUX connector. All you need w/o spending the price tag. And it looks cool.

Great Product, Great Service,

The TEAC product is just a great piece of equipment. The sound surpasses the price by miles. My son and his friends were shocked at how much sound came from this tiny unit. It's just a great buy !The Discovery store, (the seller) did a great job. It was here undamaged, within 6 days. This was ground transport, so I guess they shipped it the next morning.

Good sound, poor MP3 functionality,

1. Din't work right out of the box, had to exchange.2. Can't complain about the sound; not an audiophile personally though. 3. Disappointed by the poor MP3 interface: after the power is turned off and then turned on again, the unit must re-read the MP3 CD (takes about a minute): my 3 yr-old portable TDK CD/MP3 player recognizes up to 4 recent CDs. Very annoying. 4. Skipping to the next song (in Shuffle mode, at least) takes too long. 5. Perennial MP3 problem: album/song titles don't fit on the screen. 6. Awkward MP3 directory navigation.

Nice, but not really "wall mountable",

Although no photo appears on the Amazon site, the TEAC MC-DX20B is described as "wall mountable." However, the larger, bulky subwoofer cannot be hung on the wall easily and would look goofy on a table top. And of course, the subwoofer really needs to be located near the speakers for the optimum sound - the instruction book even states that it needs to be positioned nearby.I rated it four stars, however, because I would say that with respect to what is important in a stereo - the sound - it is definitely a winner. Unfortunately, I'll be returning mine for a more petite model that will fit my needs better.

Not bad for the price,

For the price, this little stereo is quite a jewel. It's great for a bedroom or office. Very clean sound, good highs and moderate bass with a very small sub. I would put it up against anything even close in price.

This stereo system looks great which is why I bought it. I liked the compact design of the speakers. However, once we got it home it was a pain in the neck to set up becuase the cord that connects the subwoofer to the cd system did not fit correctly. We sat there for 20 mintues with a seafood fork trying to move the spikes into the right position to fit it into the slots it was meant for. Yeah- Husband was not too pleased about that. He also didn't like the bulkyness of the cords for such a compact system. It is much heavier then it appears- its not flimsy by any means. The sound quality is pretty good, although I have heard better. I personally like the remote that came with it, its sleek. Overall, its an ok piece of equipment but certainly not the very best. I'm not returning as its meets my needs, although I think I could have spent less and gotton something of the same quality.

I bought this for my musician spouse, so sound quality was of the up most importance. It did not disappoint! We love this great little stereo. It gets used almost everyday. And, I have to say - of course the subwoofer is not wall mountable! We haven't wall mounted it, but if fits great on a small shelf, with the subwoofer on the floor in the corner.

First of all I want to say that I love Amazon and how efficient and timely they are. The Teac system is very sleek and compact and sounds great! I bought this for my partner who wanted a single disc system, so she is loving it. I would personally prefer a system with multi-disc capacity. The remote is surprisingly heavy; not a bad thing. There seems to be some difficulty in consistent response to the power on/off function from the remote. All in all this system well exceeds any expectation I would have had for so inexpensive a product.

My new office sound system,

I am VERY pleased with the quality and value of this system. I am replacing a more expensive JBL system and this is an UPGRADE in quality for 1/3 the cost. My only problem is that the remote does not work. I assume the battery is dead.

I am VERY pleased with this system!,
This review is from: Teac MC-DX20B 45-Watt Tabletop or Wall-Mountable CD System with AM/FM Stereo and Subwoofer (Electronics)
I purchased this stereo because I wanted a small stereo that had great sound. I had read other reviews and decided to puchase this stereo/CD player and I am very glad I did! The sound is the best of all other stereos I have had in the past! What is really funny is I had to leave town last minute and my housesitter was blown away with the sound quality! She said she saw this small stereo and was blown away by the quality after she inserted a CD! She wanted to know right away where she could get one too! The only negative I have is the awkwardness in putting the CD into the player. You have to push the CD until it clicks in without pushing the unit itself(when it is not wall mounted), but the sound quality makes up this little inconvenience!!
