Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Add surround sound speakers to your current stereo setup with the Teac A-L700P three-channel power amplifier. By connecting the A-L700P to an existing DVD receiver such as the Teac DR-L700, listeners can enjoy center and rear left/right channels in addition to the two front channels, making movies come alive and giving added depth to multichannel music sources. The 90-watt device (30 watts x 3) isn't built with power in mind, making it a better fit for small rooms that don't need expansive systems, but it does offer such added conveniences such as an interlocking volume control for use with the DR-L700 and five-way binding post speaker connections. It also includes a variable volume control for non-supported receivers. And at 8.5 by 4.3 by 13.4 inches (W x H x D), it takes up just the right amount of space in your entertainment cabinet. So leave behinds inferior two-channel sound and jump on the surround bandwagon with the A-L700P.

Note that the amp only works with expandable DVD stereo receivers with support for surround formats such as Dolby Digital, DTS, or Pro Logic II.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get this one while you still can, September 23, 2005
This review is from: Teac Reference A-L700P 3-Channel Power Amplifier (Electronics)
A giant killer with Tripath TP2050 chips. As a fan of the little Sonic Impact amp I had to try this Teac. The Teac has a different sonic signature than the SI but it's still Tripath. The Teac has a few more Watts which I like. I use this as a two channel amp. In stock form I love it, in modded form simply amazing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Teac A-L700P Amp review, June 14, 2005
This review is from: Teac Reference A-L700P 3-Channel Power Amplifier (Electronics)
I ordered the Teac along with a Sonic Impact amp. Both use the Tripath class D switching technology. The Teac sounds very good for the money and I recommend trying one if you are on a budget. Just allow a couple of weeks to burn in fully and you will have a nice sounding amp if you can do with 30 watts/channel.
