Great Product, Shifty Seller,

This review is from: Teac SL-A100R '50s-Style Turntable Stereo with AM/FM Radio, Red (Electronics)
This turntable is an EXCELLENT buy for the money; its robust integrated speakers will easily fill a small room. Its analog dial is smooth, the fit and finish is top-notch, and the warm glow of the backlight is a really nice touch. It's got am/fm radio and phono, and line out jacks so you can integrate it with your home stereo setup.A WORD OF WARNING: I purchased this from the seller "alectrics" aka "dakmart," and when I got the invoice I found in tiiiiny print: "Your Dakmart order includes a 1-year (54 issue) subscription to TV Guide. There are no obligations and no hidden charges. Your credit card will not be Shared with the publisher. The cost of your subscription is included in your order. - TV Guide is now Full-Size, Full-Color, for people who are passionate about their favorite shows, characters, and stars. Plus, an easier-to-use national listings section with more highlights and reviews. - If you decide that you do not want your 1-Year subscription to TV Guide simply send a copy of this page and your order confirmation number within 30 days of placing your order to ValueMags at the address below and you will be refunded $15.00. US Households only. One per household." Aside from the horrible capitalization/grammar, that basically means that my information was farmed out to a 3rd party (ValueMags) without my consent and I *WAS* charged $15.00 (otherwise why would they REFUND it?) for something I didn't order. This is the sort of borderline-legal fancy footwork that gives online commerce its shady reputation. Despite this annoyance, the transaction went as well as planned and the product is honestly excellent.
