Good, basic soccer information for parents,

The book does a fine job of breaking down the fundamental rules of soccer and explaining them at a beginner's level while at the same time folding in some stategy and tactics. The book includes several diagrams and pictures to help illustrate a few fine points of the game. I strongly encourage the parents of my players to take the book home overnight and browse through it; it's an easy read. The only problem with the book is that it is six years old and needs to be updated. There have been a couple of rule changes since it was first published in 1994. Also, about the last quarter of the book is cluttered up with useless ( dated ) information regarding professional soccer.
