How to Teach Poetry Writing at Key Stage 1 is a practical, activity-based book of writing workshops for teachers of 5-7 year-olds. Each workshop will help teachers to build enjoyable activities for younger children, and to develop practical writing skills.
Workshops include redrafting and revising activities; poetry writing frames; poems from a range of cultures; traditional as well as contemporary poems; poems by children; lots of writing advice; and plenty of fun. Each workshop has been used successfully in classrooms across the country, and is linked to NLS objectives.
