From Library Journal
Launched in October, Windows XP is Microsoft's first operating system to incorporate elements of its .NET initiative. The Office Suite marketed alongside it includes Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, FrontPage, PowerPoint, and a new entry, Publisher. Step by Step is the only title that covers Publisher. Otherwise, these books contain roughly the same material, use similar approaches, and are written for beginning to intermediate users. Purchase according to your patrons' preferences. A full-color book with a nice mix of text and screenshots, Step by Step is excellent for apprehensive users.

Review
"Clear in language, the book proves to be valuable and compared with a formal course, the price isn't that bad either." ComputerActive, August 2001 "For less than 15 pounds you're getting a great teacher at a bargain price although it'll probably take you more than 24 hours to finish."PC Basics, September 2001
