Fantastic, simplistic way of teaching.,

This book has captured the perfect method to teach someone the C programming language. Many beginner books are very fluffy, others much to advanced. This book explains everything you need to know in a very simple, and extremely thorough manner. An excellect purchase.

This is the defunct standard for learning C in the quickest amount of time possible. If you have any previous programming experience you'll find that you'll learn it even quicker. I read the book in 3 days and was already writing programs equivalent to what I was doing in Pascal only 3 days prior.

This is an excellent C programming book for
beginners. Teach Yourself C in 21 Days explains
everything throughly step-by-step. It even has a quiz at the end of each chapter and a tear out sheet to know each keywords and more. You should get this book if you want to know C programming with ease.

You actually WILL learn C in 21 days!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Teach Yourself C Programming in 21 Days (Teach Yourself in 21 Days) (Paperback)
I bought this book with the intention of actually learning how to program C (Amazing, isn't it?) . Once I finished, I actually could program in C, and pretty well, too. After just reading the book to the 9th day I had already made a program, from scratch and thought up by myself, that made a box of whatever size you wanted! Oh wow, big whoop, you might say. Well, that's what I say too now that I look back on that. But, this book is one of the best, informative C programming books out there. Of course, there's a few small downsides. Don't read this book if you're just looking after a really humorous book, because this one just doesn't do that. This gives you the facts, tells you what to do, and then lets you go on your own and do it, but you won't be laughing at it like it was some stand-up comedian. In fact, you probably will barely laugh at all.
But, if you're the type who needs to learn C quickly and thoroughly, and you don't need any type of real saucy writing flair, I'd say go ahead and buy this book. It has what most programmers need.

Good Intro to C programing,
By A Customer
This review is from: Teach Yourself C Programming in 21 Days (Teach Yourself in 21 Days) (Paperback)
I must say, this is one of the better books on introducing
the C programning language. The reason I purchased this
book was because it was recommended by one of my college professor.
All of the basic topics are covered. If you're new to
programming, this book will teach you all you need to
know to get started on any programming project. I also
find that it is a good reference to keep nearby in case
you need to refresh your memory on syntax.
This edition is printed very nicely on semi-glossey paper
and comes with a tearoff quick reference sheet.

Makes it easy to learn C,

I would recommend this book to anyone looking to learn good old C. And wow, look at how cheap it is! This book teaches EVERYTHING you will need to know. It even goes into a little C++ intro. But if I were you (or if I could go back) I would skip learning C all together - C++ makes C obsolete.

Right out of the horse's mouth.,

I love this book. Everything is made so clear and easy to understand even though the book moves at a fast pace and is very specific and thorough. If somebody told me they wanted to start learning C I'ld tell them to get a new revision of this book. The book features helpful does and don'ts that seem to read your mind and present to you the answers to your questions. 5/5 hands down. I'm going to add "Teach Yourself C++ in 21 days" to my shelf because I have strong faith in SAMS. Also don't be intimidated by C and buy a book that includes "beginner" in the title because they won't be advanced enough for any inteligent human. Buy thick books and read those.
