Much better than New Riders
Much more thorough and complete than the NR book and the questions/answers are correct. Well edited and well written. Very good source for SQL Server 6.5 exam but needs supplementation with additional questions such as Transcender.

A dissenting vote
This book does do a good job of covering the material required for the 70-026 exam. Questions and labs are fairly reasonable as well. HOWEVER, while this book is reasonably complete, the writing is phenominally boring. This one will deffinately put you to sleep

A good book for the basics, but not for advanced info,

This book does a good job of giving the reader the basics in a very dry, technical way. This is more of a technical manual. It does not do a good job in troubleshooting or in preparing for real world problems. It does cover about 80% of what is needed for the exam.

For a good understanding of SQL server, this book is pretty good. Chapters are well organized, and understanding the concepts pretty well. Studying for SQL server test to obtain MSCE + Internet. David MSCE, MCP+I, CNE 3,4
