This book is great. My first computer and an Apple. Never touched any kind of computer before this and
starting rather late in life. I'm amazed....I learned with this book and Apple's great phone Tech support.
Much less intimidating than wading through pages of text. I will do that eventually, but this gave me a great
start.

I had never used a computer before I purchased a Mac. A friend told me about the "teaching yourself visually" book. It is such a wonderful help to me. I am amazed at the things I have done in the few weeks I have used it. I have recommended it to friends. I have also told them to go to amazon.com to find it.

The visual presentation of the Tiger Operating System is given in a beautiful, clear and concise manner.

I am new to the Mac world. I had a PC and could not get around very well on it. Now I have a Macbook and love it! This book is fantastic. It shows you step by step with pictures how to do a task. With this book I was able to set-up my Macbook the way I wanted, organize i-tunes, surf, create files etc.... This book is worth the money for the beginner or even the experienced Mac nut. Super easy to use. Don't buy a book too technical to understand, "Teach Yourself VISUALLY Mac OS X Tiger" is the only way to go. You won't be sorry.

To see instructions that are being read helps tremendously in understanding. Those of us who are older need all the help we can get. This book fills the bill.

I also purchased this book for my husband and one for my son as well to go along with another book for the Mac OS X Tiger. This is a great book for someone who likes pictures and easy to follow instructions with a minimal amount of reading. I am a visual person myself and own a book like this written for my Mac iBook G4. I highly recommend this book!

I found this book very helpful and easy to follow. The visuals are great and a lot easier to use than just reading pages and pages of words on how to do things. Definately the best book I bought. I have not got all the way through it yet but it seems to help me find everything. Also tells you where to find things on the Internet. Very nice!

Pictures help. Often I find what I need to know in this book that some times is not covered in other books

This is a real good idiot book. The visuals are what makes the book. A good reference book for the do it yourselfer computer person
