After reading several other so called exam prep books and then failing the exam , I decided to pick this one up after reading all the great reviews. The second time I wrote the exam I passed with flying colors. I got 20% more then I needed to pass. Thanks Mr. Barton on a job well done.

Very very good book. It was easy reading. I was looking for materials to help me with my Win95 certification. I've already amassed quite a few books on the subject, but they all put me to sleep. This book not only explained all the little nuances, every detail of information that you need to pass the Win95 exam in plain, down to earth English, but it also kept up my interest -unlike a few technical books I have accumulated. I retained all the information presented. I found that all the information I needed to pass and become an MCP was this book. In fact, not only did I pass the exam with flying colors within a 2 week time frame, but so did a few of my colleagues who read the book. This book recieved a rating of "8" due to the fact that I did notice minor proofreading errors on a few pages. The errors were not too significant, but nevertheless...

What a GREAT book! The material is very well organized, and straight forward. Marc presents the information as if he were talkin' person-to-person with ya. Marc doesn't leave you hangin' there wondering, "...what the hell does that mean?" I would strongly suggest ya grab this book. Use it in conjunction with: 1)Win95 Resource Kit -for detailed information, and 2)Transcender Practice Exams -the closest thing to the real test that you can find. Good Luck on your exam, you future MCP!

I used this book as my primary and almost exclusive study guide for the exam. Having used Windows '95 extensively for some time and more than a little comfortable with installing, configuring, and optimizing both the host computer as well as peripheral hardware, I was pleased when I found more than half of the book dealing with just these subjects. But when I went to take the exam, I found it was another story. The exam dealt predominantly with networking and the book didn't. I knew the book but found it to be quite different than the actual exam! My advice is to search elsewhere!

This book has been a great help to me in passing exam #70-064. The author states in his introduction that the book is aimed specifically at getting you through the exam and not to learn you everything there is to know about windows 95, and that is exactly what it does. I particularly like the "Test Day Facts" at the start of each chapter. There is also an abundance of typical exam questions with answers, and a full practice exam at the end. The author is also very approachable. I e-mailed him with a query about the book and received a reply within two days

Preparing for the Windows 95 MCSE test can be an arduous and tortuous process. Choosing the right book to aid an abet you in your endeavours can be just as tough. The ever expanding catalogue of books dealing solely with this exam makes picking the right study material difficult. One man who has taken the pain out of prepping for the exam is Marcus Barton. He not only informs and educates, he gets rid of the fluff and deals with what's required in an easy to read fashion. Explaining the ins and outs of Windows 95 is not an easy task, especially for first timers but the clear cut approach taken by the author makes it relatively easy to become knowledgeable in a short space of time.

I read this book twice and took all the transcender tests for 70-064. I also read the Novell and printer chapters a couple more times and scored a 857 on the test. This is by far the best book to study for this test.

After flunking the exam twice, I turned to this book. After reviewing all of the chapters, all of the confusing items that I had encountered during the exam were answered for me! I had just a few questions and Mr. Barton put everything in prospective for me!! This is one book that should at least complement your existing study guides! I have every confidence that I will now pass my exam 70-064! Thanks Marc for a no-nonsense approach to passing the Windows 95 exam!!

Excellent study guide. Didn't bog me down with useless crap. The only author that made me understand system policies. I wouldn't have passed without this book.
