Marzano and his staff have created an essential book for all administrators. This book is an easy read, and can be used as a reference as well. This is a must read- have it on your list of reference materials.

I actually prefer Marzano over Danielson, due to the instructional language of Marzano. He quite completely explains how each objective can be reached and exactly what an administrator should look for when evaluating teachers. its quite objective, minimizing subjectivity. There are also numerous other books that help train teachers, provide self-evaluation support, and is a complete series for the improvement of instruction in your school. Every administrator should include this in their professional library.
