5.0 out of 5 stars Eureka!
This terrific tape really got my attention. Aha! Sensory integration dysfunction in a nutshell! So that's why some of my students fidget or tune out! They're not deliberately annaying me and their classmates; they're just trying to function and get through the day. I've already made numerous changes in my classroom since listening to the tape, with great results...

3.0 out of 5 stars Some thoughts on Sensory Integration.....
This audio tape is a good one as far as it goes...it's an excellent introduction but leaves out much of the underlying theory and basis for understanding this disorder. I would have also preferred to hear a bit more about therapies, and techniques which work to calm and to "organize" children who exhibit this difficulty. It leaves one with the feeling that ADD,...

This audio tape is a good one as far as it goes...it's an excellent introduction but leaves out much of the underlying theory and basis for understanding this disorder. I would have also preferred to hear a bit more about therapies, and techniques which work to calm and to "organize" children who exhibit this difficulty. It leaves one with the feeling that ADD, ADHD and SI are all the same disorder...symptoms may overlap but treatments differ so it is important to know etiology, the "big picture" of what is going on. The entire SI pictures is a bigger one than is presented here but this is a good beginning!

This is a wonderful resource for parents, caregivers, teachers and therapists working with children. I gave a much appreciated copy to my child's preschool teacher and have given out other copies to other schools and parents also. It comes with nice handouts for presentations and resource. I am buying my 7th copy to give to another school asking for guidance and information on sensory integration.
