Great way to teach history and science,

I have been using these materials for ninth grade science in my home school curriculum. Our family had read the books previously and loved them and so having the lesson plans has been wonderful. The teachers guide is easy to use and has activities that are fun to do and give students a very good overview of what it was like to be a scientist in early history and just how intelligent early scientists were. They also show students that they are using the concepts that were discovered many years ago all the time today. The activities include experiments as well as math formulas for finding areas of triangles and how number patterns work as well as other cool things. One of our favorites is the timeline, which we have all along one wall of our house. It really helps with historical perspective. It is not at all difficult for ninth grade. I make some of the lessons a little more challenging. These lessons could be used from sixth grade up I would think, with just a little more help, depending on reading levels and math skills. I would totally recommend these books.
