Lawrence Baines is the chair of Instructional Leadership & Academic Curriculum at The University of Oklahoma. His academic appointments have included service as the Judith Daso Herb Chair in Adolescent Literacy at The University of Toledo and the G. Leland Green Chair in Education at Berry College (Georgia).

I had the opportunity to hear Mr. Baines speak several years ago. At that time I purchased a copy of this book. To date, I've used several ideas ... all have been worthwhile and have been truly enjoyed by my students. Each idea/lesson is laid out with great detail.

I had the privelege of teaching with Tony Kunkel at a high school in Northern CA. He was always innovative and his students showed a level of engagement I had not seen before or since in my career. These guys are the Real Deal, and even though I am a physics teacher, I am tempted to buy this book. Tony, if you're out there, happy trails buddy.
