Since 2003 Storytime Yoga has been a pioneer in children's yoga and body-centered education, reaching thousands of children worldwide via school visits, yoga studios, libraries, teacher trainings, the Internet and media.
Although there is no official school count, hundreds of preschool and elementary teachers, yoga teachers, librarians, therapists, occupational therapists and parents have been trained in the technique of becoming oral storytellers as the basis to teach yoga to children for literacy, health and peace and character education via trainings, and thousands more have embraced the techniques through her classic book Storytime Yoga: Teaching Yoga to Children Through Story (2006 The Mythic Yoga Studio, LLC Boulder, Colo.) which has sold 25,000 copies worldwide.

Combining oral storytelling with yoga, the technique teaches children kinesthetically and enhances reading, writing, speaking, listening. It also teaches nutrition and health through yoga, as well as character and peace education via multicultural wisdom stories. The Storytime Yoga children's yoga DVD, The Peddler's Dream, appeared on PBS and won the Recommended Award from the National parenting Association in 2008. Storytime Yoga is also translated into Spanish.
Founded by Storyteller, Yoga Teacher and mother Sydney Solis after the tragic death of her husband, Storytime Yoga has appeared at the Yoga Journal Conference, Kripalu Center for Health, The Omega Institute, The National Association for the Education of Young Children, in Yoga Journal Magazine, Colorado Library Magazine, Colorado Parent Magazine, Light On Consciousness Magazine and more. Solis currently resides in Frederiksted, St. Croix, the USVI, where she raises her two children and runs the Storytime Yoga Children's Mission, bringing yoga and storytelling to children worldwide.

She spent three years as a Spellbinder, volunteering to tell stories to public school children. Sydney has more than 375 hours of training in the Anusara tradition. She completed a 200-hour Anusara training with her teacher, Bhakti and Level I teacher training with Anusara founder John Friend. She continues to Immerse herself in Anusara and yoga therapy with senior teachers Jeanie Manchester and Anthony Bogart , and studies Yoga Nidra with SreeDevi Bringi. She studied storytelling with Laura Simms, Rebecca Armstrong, Susan Marie-Frontczak and Kate Lutz.
